Is it possible to see what the default thank you page (that includes receipt info.) will look like? Will it have the same message as my thankyou email?

Thank you page and Thank you email are two different things. Please see customization section in the help page to see how to customize both.

To send yourself a test email, please go to Admin > Send free thank you email.
