I have a couple of simple questions for you. We are a small scuba shop which rents gear online. We have packages that need to be customized in two ways:
They need to be able to select sizes of all of their gear. Example- they rent a package for the price of $80, they need to select sizes for up to 6 components. They need to enter the date of the package rental

Both the things can be done. Please see the "variants" section of the help page, the non price affecting variant feature can also be used to create text fields for text entry by user.
