adding cart cms customization edit firefox followed ie7 instructions javascript lines messed none oops page view

I followed the instructions in:

http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.custom-cart.php

And it works great in Firefox.

When I view the same page/cart in IE7, none of the customization comes through. Why?

EDIT: Oops. Now I know; my CMS was adding <br /> at the end of each of the Javascript lines which messed up IE but not Firefox.
