adding against amount cart charge checkout configure customers download downloadable order page paypal product products rules selling shipping shouldnt tangible total

if i dont add shipping in the cart and customers just go to checkout, can I charge shipping through paypal at checkout.

sure, if you configure your shipping rules in PayPal, then PayPal will add the shipping amount to the order on the checkout page.

But what if you are selling both downloadable and tangible products and you have both in the cart? Paypal will adding shipping to the total order amount which will include the downloadable product also won't it? How does paypal know that there shouldn't be a shipping charge against the download product?
