Cart Error: Free Checkout blocked for your IP address

While testing out how the "editable price" feature worked, I wound up with:

"Cart Error: Free Checkout blocked for your IP address (24.25.253.29) due to abuse."

How can I get my IP unblocked?

To prevent abuse we only allow 5 free checkouts from an IP in 48 hours.

There is no way to unblock an IP.

Time to add the standard "Don't Block My IP Address" setting.

Yeah, but that's a problem when a mechant decides to generate a couple hundresd free download links via the free checkout and then send them out to their mailing list.

Umm, maybe I need more info but...

Ejunkie shouldnt block the merhcants IP address. The merchant should be able to test and click on whatever they want without blocking.

If the merchant sends out 500 free downloads then other peoples IP addresses will show up when they click it, not the merchants.

What am I missing?

If you try free checkout, the IP of the machine where checkout is being done is blocked as we don't want one person to be able to generated multiple free download links. Whnether it's merchant or a buyer.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but I've gotta agree with the other posts, here. Especially in the case of trying to test out a customized payment gateway, 5 checkouts per 48 hours is a ridiculously small amount. To properly debug checkout scripts, the admin should be able to do as many checkouts from their own IP address as needed.

You can unblock your own IP for Free Checkouts at any time by simply logging into your own Seller Admin. :^)
