Hi all, I'm building a website that uses e-junkie.com as a shopping cart, and it works superbly for this, but the client would also like to collect donations for multiple projects. They are a film and video documentary cooperative, and each documentary in production is open to donations. So far the 'editable price' feature is less than ideal - we'd like to have the site visitor fill out the donation amount before reaching the cart or buy now page. Example: I'd like to have a donation form on each documentary's page that would have a radio buttons with a set donation structure ($25, 50, 100, 250, etc) plus an 'other amount' field that site visitors could check or fill out, and click to go to the shopping cart with the donors amount already filled out. Is there a way to pass the pricing information on to the cart via a form? I can see that perhaps I could create a cart item for each and every donation amount for each an every project, and build the form to refer to each one. As of right now there are 5 projects, and if there was a donation structure for $25, 50, 100, 250, 500 - there would be 25 items to add to the cart, and doing it this way we would not be able to accept variable amounts, unless they were input on the cart. I hope there is a better way to take variable donation amounts than this.. Any examples of sites using e-junkie taking donations would also be much appreciated.. # POSTED ON: January 1, 2008 @ 20:55 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: January 1, 2008 @ 21:24 GMT -7 |

OK, I've figured out most of this by using the variants and variations. It works, but we will have to use the shopping cart to do it (not the buy now). oh well. and with that created a new issue - on how to convert the variants/variations dropdown in the cart script into radio button selections here - http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/1414/pg/ # POSTED ON: January 4, 2008 @ 00:23 GMT -7 |
