Hi there, I'm researching your system for a client and possibly for my own uses and so far I love what you're offering. I couldn't find anything in your FAQ pages about processing subscription payments through PayPal and I'm wondering if this is possible, and if so, can they be mixed with digital and tangible products in the same cart/transaction? Also, I run a music licensing business and I'm currently using Plimus for digital delivery and processing. Their commissions are pretty steep, but they allow me to store my 8GB of production music files without any storage or delivery surcharge, or any monthly fees. I'm currently not getting too many orders, so the pay as I go option works for me, but I'm wondering if you guys are open to a custom arrangement somewhere in-between the 2 models? I just can't pony up for a $265/month service fee until my average revenue increases. :) Finally, if I were to decide to host the downloads on my own server, does your system mask the real URL on my system somehow, or do I need to create a script on my end to effectively hide the files? # POSTED ON: January 20, 2008 @ 18:36 GMT -7 |

We don't handle subscription payments. Sorry :( Although we don't have a commission model, our $18/month model will work best for you. We don't show your URL to the buyer. We use the URL to read the file from your server and as far as the buyer is concerned, the download still happens as usual from our server. # POSTED ON: January 20, 2008 @ 18:37 GMT -7 |
