I have an ebook that is 71 mb. Although it is only one product, in looking at the pricing it seems that it would fall under the $10.00 a month for 20 items or 100 mb space. Is this correct? This book has already been compressed in the compiling process and so zipping does not reduce it. Would you also by chance know whether the download time for this size is anything to be concerned about?

You will indeed need the $10 plan as $5 plan's disk space won't be enough for your product.

The download speed will vary according to buyer's internet connection and our server load but 71 MB is not a size that you should be worried about.
