eCheck Issue

I'm having an issue with people who pay with an echeck thru Paypal. Does Paypal notify you when it clears? People are
writing me saying their echecks have cleared (and in fact they have) and we haven't sent them a link? I realize that the blame probably lies with Paypal not informing you. What can we do about this? Thanks!

It's a PayPal issue that I'd pointed out couple weeks back -
http://www.pdncommunity.com/pdn/board/essage?board.id=ipn& message.id=8961#M8961

They say it was supposed to be fixed on 14th.

For the time being, the only solution is to send the product from "E-junkie Seller Admin > Send free thank you email, download link" feature.

Hi, do we know if this issue with Paypal has been resolved? I just received an order with the buyer using Paypal e-check, just wondering. Thank you.

The post you replied to was over two years old, so that issue has long since been resolved. PayPal should send us an IPN confirming a completed eCheck-funded payment as soon as the check clears. If you are seeing payments with Completed status in your PayPal history which aren't showing up in your E-junkie Transaction Log, please see this troubleshooting page:

Hello, old thread, my apologies. I have received an echeck that has failed but the customer was sent the link to the download and attempted to download it 2 times. I have the "Wait for pending echecks" selected but obviously on this occasion that did not happen. Might I have something in PayPal conflicting with the system, otherwise, what advice can you give about this situation please? Thanks

ML

Hm, that sounds quite strange indeed! By any chance did you have "Wait for pending payments..." unchecked when that buyer first placed their order? If not, please email support with the Transaction ID for that order, so we can investigate further:

It was definitely checked. None of the other echecks have come back with a problem, just this one. Email sent, thanks!

We got those details you sent, thanks. Looks like we processed that order within 9 min. of the buyer finishing checkout, which is unusually fast for an eCheck to clear but a long enough lag that we clearly didn't process the order immediately upon finishing checkout as if "Wait for pending payments..." were unchecked, so Development is investigating the matter further.
