I sell personalized products such as T-shirts. If a user selects a T-shirt and enters text which will be printed on the shirt is there any way to annotate the purchase with the custom text?

While adding the product, please click on "variants which provide more information about the product ordered". In the next screen (or the screen after, depending on your other selections), you will be able to configure variants with dropdowns and "textfields" as well.

So the button code you'll get from admin will contain a textfield where the buyer can enter the custom message
