ARE YOU DOWN AGAIN? THIS HAS GOT TO IMPROVE

Robin, or anybody else. For days now the service has either been down or working sporatically.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

In your own words "To put it in simple words, our servers (cornerstone of YOUR online business) are mean and strong machines connected to Internet with a big fat pipe."

WELL THAT PIPE IS LEAKING - FIX IT PLEASE. WE ARE PAYING YOU FOR THIS PIPE.

I'm also seeing sluggish performance, unreliable performance. Even right now.

Agreed - just a note saying what the problem is/was and the plan(s) to fix it would be nice. I'm currently working in overdrive trying to get my own PayPal cart up so that I don't get screwed.

Robin -

Are you seeing this? You must be able to communicate to you PAYING CUSTOMERS about these outages. We all understand that this crap happens, but none of us want to be blind-sided by them. We'll all find work arounds or other solutions if this continues.

To elaborate:

The service was down Monday morning from ~10am-noon MST.
The service was down Tuesday morning from ~10am-~1pm MST.
The service seems to be slow to temporarily unavailable today.

Any help out there?

Thanks for the details rtmfd. A phone number to call someone sure would be useful.

Robin emailed me and told me that there have been issues with their service provider. I'm happy with the resolution.

Me too. Let's hope he discovers some method of notifying us merchants when this happens in the future.

Drat. It was down again this morning. I was wondering why I didn't have any sales.

Yes, what a pain to be developing my e-junkie interface after having tested the product 3 months ago and being very impressed. Other than this VERY SERIOUS reliability issue I still find it to be an exceptional service. I believe I had almost 4 hours of down or almost downtime this morning from about 8am CST to about noon CST. And the lack of communication of comment from the e-junkie staff here or via email is not really acceptable. I should not have to read another user's comment about having gotten an email. Post your status in your forums that is what they are for.

Agree with cman13 - we can all deal with issues if we are aware of the problem - communication is critical - interesting that there are no comments on the forum from either Robin or Natasha

Here is the Site Monitoring that everyone should be using to verify their sites health, including e-junkie.

Excellent service and very simple to use.

Where is the posting and which time?

There has been multiple outages over the last week.

The point is we need to be informed.

I sent this message to Robin earlier today -

Would your outages over the weekend have prevented some order notifications to have been blocked or missed? I received at least 1 Google Checkout order, that had successfully cleared, but received no notificiation from e-junkie.

What else may I have missed during your few hours of downtime?

===========================================

I suggest you that all merchants review all your orders over the weenend for errors and ommissions.

When E-junkie is down, the sales don't initiate. However the sales which initiated and completed but were not processed when the servers went down, are indeed processed when the servers come back up as PayPal and Google Checkout, both resend notifications till they don't get a 200 OK response from us.
