Does a non-profit institute need a bank account ?

I have just started a non-profit site that will subsist mainly on ads. It was put up to promote social and family entrepreurship and community development in the Philippines, and so will also feature community projects asking for donations as well as sell products that come from social and family enterprises that cannot sell them on their own.

We do not have a bank account yet. Do we need one? How will we recover whatever monies are donated/paid to us and/or our associated non-profits?

You will need a PayPal account as Google Checkout and Authorize.Net are not available in Philippines.

Please refer PayPal help pages to find out how you can withdraw money from PayPal to your bank account. In some countries PayPal offer direct bank deposit and in others you can withdraw by asking them to issue a check.
