I am assuming that you cart only supports paypal standard and not paypal pro if you are using authorize.net?

Correct. The reason for that is that the process is exactly the same for buyer in case of PayPal Pro and Authorize.Net, just the credit card processor differs .. so there is no reason to use both together.
