I have a serious concern relating to the affiliate program. I recently set up a new form on my website. In order to test the form, I made a purchase for the product through one of my personal paypal accounts. I later refunded this purchase to myself. For some reason, one of my affiliates received notice that they had made a sale, and are now wondering why they weren't paid for this sale. My questions are: Why was this affiliate's address associated with my own personal email address? I made no other sale of this product--I just finished setting it up. I was the only one who purchased it--in order to trial the form and Buy Button. Also, when I refunded it to myself, why wasn't this affiliate notified of this as well? How am I going to prove to this affiliate that they were not involved in this sale? When I used my end of the month affiliate pay report, this wasn't even on the report. Please help as soon as possible.

If you have "hop link" enabled for your products and your affiliate are using it, it's quite possible that which checking your affiliates site you click on the link. At that point, you became a "lead" and when you purchased your product (anytime within 6 months of clicking
the affiliate's hop link), affiliate got the credit.
However, when you refund a payment or when a payment is reversed, the affiliate fee is reversed. They can see that in their logs.
