I have a website that sells tangible goods. I have goods that I sell that I offer quantity discounts and they also vary by color. I know one way to use the inventory management tools is to have it listed in e-junkie as "1" products and using variants to create drop down selections for quantity & color etc. However I feel that this limits the exposure on my website somewhat. That is why I currently list them as separate goods. Also some of my items incorporate items together to make 1 wholly new product. Is there a way to link the inventory management numbers from one item to the next? For example: Customer can buy widget1. Customer can also buy widget2 which happens to contain a widget1 within it. I would like to see the following happen after checkout: 1) Customer buys 1 x widget1. My inventory gets reduced by 1 x widget1 2) Customer buys 1 x widget2. My inventory gets reduced by 1 x widget1 3) Customer buys 1 x widget1 and 1 x widget2. My inventory gets reduced by 2 x widget1 Thanks for any info anyone can provide! # POSTED ON: October 25, 2007 @ 10:23 GMT -7 |

Unfortunately, it's simply not possible. # POSTED ON: October 25, 2007 @ 10:36 GMT -7 |

E-junkie, Thanks for your reply. In reference to the previous posts, is there a way to specify an unlimited quantity for inventory management? Thanks again. # POSTED ON: October 25, 2007 @ 10:37 GMT -7 |

You can either enter a very high number there or you can simply disable the inventory management. # POSTED ON: October 25, 2007 @ 10:40 GMT -7 |
