Can never see the right side of the cart window

Hi! This is my first post. I have a customer that sent me the following message. I asked him to right click the button and open in a new window and that fixed it for him but I'd like to fix it in case someone else has the same problem. Any info on this would be great!

Customer's comment:

"I tried to add something to your shopping cart. Your cart does not view properly on my pc (XP home + IE6). I can never see the right side of the cart window. I keep scrolling and it keeps sliding over to the right."

Looks like either he needs to simply enlarge his browser window (if possible), or if he can't, then he must be running at a 640x480 monitor resolution -- either because he has an ancient 13-14" monitor that can't display any better than that, or perhaps because he's visually-impaired. Given the nature of your products, I have to wonder how he's managing to use Photoshop at that resolution!

Hi Tyson,
I think he might be a teacher at a school so maybe they have older equipment and can't upgrade unless it's approved. It sounds like a rare problem and he was able to purchase by right clicking and opening in a new window. So I guess I won't worry about it unless someone else complains too. Thanks for your response.

Kim

I had another person complain about this so I started looking at the site. I noticed that the horizontal scroll on the page was like at 2000+ pixels and thought maybe it had to do with that. At first I thought it was the css but when I turned off the css it was still doing it so then I realized it was a setting I had in the html. I fixed it and now it's all good for my customer. Thought I'd give you an update in case it ever happens to someone else.

Thanks!

Sometimes it's embarrassing how much I can slaughter and abuse a piece of code to try to get it to do what I want.

In order to put the "View Cart" where I wanted it on the page I used a html horizontal and vertical position. (hspace="790" vspace="72") I thought I was clever until I noticed the horizontal scroll issue, and had the complaints from customers that no one else on e-junkie had.

Now I've added it with CSS and it's working but it's probably not pretty behind the scenes. Anyway could happen to someone else in some strange other way so I thought I'd share. :-)
