Calculating Tax in Texas (They tax Shipping & Handling)

The state of Texas insists you apply the state sales tax not only to the product, but also to any shipping and handling charges.

It appears E-junkie only applies tax to the product.

I see that Google Checkout has an option to apply the tax to shipping and handling as well, but Google Checkout's settings apparently don't override E-Junkies.

Is there a solution for this? Essentially, E-Junkie is calculating the wrong tax for anyone who uses this product in Texas to sell to someone else in Texas.

Just trying not to run afoul of the law!

Currently we don't have an option to charge tax on S&H. Sorry :(

We do have another product called Fat.Free.Cart which will take better advantage of Google Checkout's tax settings and other features, as well as PayPal checkout's tax and shipping settings; however, although the buyer's cart interface would work much the same as "regular" E-junkie, it is also much trickier to configure (no easy Seller Admin screen like regular E-junkie) and since it is free, we offer no tech support whatsoever -- it's strictly DIY, but you can see if you're up to the challenge:

Correction/Update:
Fat.Free.Cart ~will~ be able to support the tax settings of Google and the tax/shipping settings of PayPal, but it does not do so currently.

Wow...

While I understand it is probably not a high priority, Texas sellers are breaking the law if they use your product... It would be great if this could be fixed. I can't imagine it is that hard to throw in a button to have the tax applied AFTER the shipping and handling charges.

Google just has one radio button to select when taxes are applied...
