I need to charge VAT on the shipping costs that E-Junkie adds. In the UK shipping is a vatable charge. How would I go about doing this? Cheers Jon # POSTED ON: May 21, 2008 @ 03:37 GMT -7 |

Hi, Is this still the case? The reason I ask is that I think I've managed to do this or I'm missing something. Under the heading 'Simple sales tax/vat settings' I have entered 15% into the 'sales tax/VAT rate' box. In the EU VAT settings, I have 'checked' the 'Charge VAT' box. Additionally, I have 'checked' the 'Charge sales tax and VAT on shipping and handling'. Now when I add items to my cart the item total does not increase, but the shipping appears to have 15% added on. See here: http://www.mrsbooth.com/nspreview/ejdev/collection-friezes.html Is this right? Thanks, Sam # POSTED ON: April 17, 2009 @ 07:26 GMT -7 |

You can enable the Charge VAT setting without specifying any specific tax %, and that will apply the proper VAT calculation for your and the buyer's respective countries. If you do specify a %, that will apply an extra tax percentage amount, in addition to standard VAT. # POSTED ON: April 19, 2009 @ 13:06 GMT -7 |
