Suggestions-buyer limitation

Once in a while conartists will buy up all my phone card codes and then do a Paypal charge back. Since its intangible good its hard to fight the chargebacks. I understand that's part of the game and I accept frauds are part of the cost of doing business. However is there any way you guys can put a limit of how many items a buyer can buy within the last 10 days, like how ebay does it? As it stands now the bad guys are winning and I may have to give it up and stop selling altogether. thanks!

This was suggested a very long time ago and they do not care. Their posting said that it is not a big deal and does not happen much.
I gave them stats, facts and pointed them to recent eBay articles, etc but nothing happened.
I suggested they also come up with a list we can all add to and link to stopping purchases from a buyer who is in a global ejunkie list.
Response was NOPE.

This may be something that will only be feasible as part of a "version 2.0" ground-up rewrite of the E-junkie software. However, right now you already have the ability to block our system from completing (i.e., issuing PINs/codes or download links for) any transactions initiated from certain buyers. We cannot prevent their payment, but we can prevent them from getting your digital goods after payment, and you can simply refund their payment if they complain in those cases.
As soon as you identify a buyer you'd rather not do any more business with, just go to your Seller Admin > Block Buyers and Transactions, where you can add their email addy or Firstname Lastname to your block list.

the list only works AFTER you notice and identify a suspicious buyer which is AFTER they have bought and cleaned out all your stored PINs. It's not very useful to blacklist someone AFTER they robbed you.
The way it should work is after you receive a payment, the system will check if the buyer have bought from you in the last _ days, and how many times. If they dont go over the set limit, then the system will release and email them the PIN they bought.
It may take some extra work on your end, but w/o the proper security measures in place, we sellers are just sitting ducks.

can you post the names and emails of the people that robbed you so we can add them to our block lists?
e-junkie really needs much improvement in this area.
a simple change for them to start with is a global block list where we can all add people that rip us off and why.
of course i also suggested in the meantime a special place where we can add an entry of information with some details about why/how that person ripped you off. that way we can copy the info and add it to our own block list.
did they care? nope.

Personally I think a blocklist is not very useful. They are usually "one hit wonder" They go on a shopping spree, and then do chargeback. If you can't stop them in the process of buying up codes, its too late to do anything after. If e-junkie wont do anything to improve the security I will have to search for an alternative delivery method.

A blocklist is all you are going to get if you are very very lucky.
You have to start with something very simple and hope and pray you get that.
Go ahead and list their names and email addresses so we can all ad them to the list as well? I find it strange that each time you are asked about this you won't do it to help other people. Why is that?

A globalblock list means that any merchant can interefe with any other merchant's sales. So we are not going to do that.
E-junkie is only focusing on what we do, we provide a simple way to sell your products anywhere. If you want to extend the functionality to prevent a buyer to get the code more than X times in Y days, you can achieve it yourself by switching to using "generated codes" and our integation feature. That way, you will have a track of all the sales and your code generator can implement your own security logic.

How could they ask for charge back with pay pal if you sold in your website? I purchased ink from a company, they never send it, and when I called pay pal they told me that only if I purchased through e-bay I am protected and can get my money back. I lost $100.
Don't sell the cards in e-bay, so you short the loss, and in e-bay put condition that you product can be purchased only by a buyer with +5 feedbacks.
