Affiliate Question: Seller has many products, will my one LINK get credit if buyer buys a different product than the original affiliate link? ex. I pasted product#1 affiliate link, buyer then buys product#2, will I get the credit? In General, if it's Hop-link, I should get the credit no matter what the buyer buys from the affiliate link? If it direct link, I only get the credit if the buyer buys the exact same item as my affiliate link? Is that statement correct? Thanks, Mike # POSTED ON: July 26, 2008 @ 07:15 GMT -7 |

The Direct Link is an instant-checkout Buy Now button, so the buyer can only buy one unit of that one product, and the Affiliate earns commission on only that one sale. The Hop Link refers buyers to the Merchant's site, where all shopping and purchases are done, while setting a cookie in the buyer's browser that is good for 6 months (or whenever they delete browser cookies); while that cookie remains valid, every Hop-Link-enabled product the buyer purchases from that Merchant will earn the Affiliate commissions for all such products they bought. # POSTED ON: July 28, 2008 @ 18:39 GMT -7 |
