Automatic registration key issuer does not work anymore

Hello,

I have used your service for more then a year to sent registration codes and download links to my customers, however since a month one of my package deals fails to add the regsitration codes and this must be related to a setting at your side, most likely a time out setting.

Each time i make such a sale i need to logon to my e-junkie account and sent a free thank you email instead, which does generate the download links and the registration code, so technically it all does work.

The packagde deal that fails is package deal II which consists out of 5 download links and 5 regsitration codes

The other package deal is working normally, same counts for all the single products

Please let me mknow what is cuasing this problem and how to fix it

Regards

Menno

Guys, did you fix this as it has been working correctly soon after I posted the previous message. Could you confirm that it has been fixed, and if so let me know what the problem was?

Thanks

Menno

It's more then 8 days and all I need is an answer, most likely a confirmation that the problem is fixed, that's all, can you maybe consider to do this?

Tyson why do you not respond? What is so difficult about entering a couple of lines on your keyboard to answer a crucial question from a customer? You apparently can answer other issues that do not require an immediate technical solution? Why does it take 9 days to let me know whether this can be fixed or not? Do you have no respect for your customers business and time?

Menno,

I apologize for the delay in response.

Could you email us with a transaction ID for when this has succeeded and when it has failed?

Thanks :)

All of our public contact info is provided here:
http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/contact.php

Apologies for our delay in responding, but none of us had answered earlier because we had no answer to give, as our system was never capable of doing what you described as being broken. It took us quite a while, but we finally realized how a custom workaround might have been possible to accomplish what our system could not do on its own, and thus it must be that workaround which could be failing somehow.

The package product itself was apparently configured with its own, custom keygen URL that outputs codes for all component products, since our "package product" feature on its own has only ever been able to send files from other products and has never been able to issue any codes configured for each of those products directly. If any keygen URL fails to respond when we hit it for output, we do not attempt it again. It is possible that your combined-keygen is simply a "wrapper" that hits the other individual keygen URLs and combines their outputs, so perhaps there is some hitch in that process (e.g., How long does it take to obtain each key and rewrite them into a combined output? What if one of those individual URLs doesn't respond?).

Hello,

As soon I encounter this problem again i will provide you the required details as it's an intemittend problem which did not happen for a week.

I work in this manner at e-junkie for more then a Year and Robin helped me to set it up, it's only since recently it failed every now and then and only with the package deal that contains 5 products the one that contains 4 alwasy work. All the keygens are created from unique URL's and for the package deal I simply select the 5 products from the list at e-junkie, , so it looks like a timeout setting at your side.

What is time you allow your server to connect to another webserver to generate the key codes? Can you increase this time , as I'm pretty sure this is the cuase of the problem

As soon this problem happens again i will provide you with the required details.

Regards

Menno

Used the online form to submit the required data as I got today another failure issuing the reg codes with your system.

Sent the reg codes with the free thank you email and all was processed nicely

Please let me know what is going on.

We would need you to send us the transaction ID and date of an affected transaction to investigate any particular incident:

one more

I noted this purchase was made from an unverified paypal account, which may or may be not related to the issue.

Thanks

Menno, I'd emailed you but never got the response with the details. Here's my email -

Hey Menno,

I just finished reading the thread. I am sorry about the confusion earlier (support folk thought you are talking about stored codes). Anyway, if there was a timeout issue, E-junkie would have emailed you.

I am a little confused still .. from the thread it seems like you have the issue now and then .. but in this email you have mentioned "Strangely this is the first time it happens with package deal". Can you please elaborate?

Can you also check your server logs and modify your script to email you the information that is passed to it .. so that we know for sure that its being hit?

Best regards,

So yeah, if you can check your server logs and/or modify the script to email what it's getting, that might help us/you debug the issue.
