Promote your other products not working

Hi,

Under the "Customize Your Thank You" form there is an option to "Promote Your Other Products." I selected the products I want to cross promote on the download page, but it doesn't seem to work.

I sent myself a free thank you email to test it out, and I just get the "Thank You" html I entered and download link for the product. There's no promotion of my other selected products.

How is this supposed to work?

Thanks

Note there is a difference between a "thank-you email" vs. a "thank-you page"; the former is sent to the buyer's email account and can only display a plaintext message, while the latter is displayed in the buyer's Web browser window after checkout, or after clicking a download link provided in the email.

The cross-promotional links appear on the thank-you page, not in the thank-you email. The "download" link in the thank-you email is actually a link to the thank-you page, where the actual download links are provided, along with links to any other products you have chosen to cross-promote with the purchased product. If you click the download link you received in your thank-you email, there you will see the thank-you page with the cross-promotion links. :^)

Also note that you can only cross-promote products which already have a listing created for your shop pages in our site's Marketplace. The promotional links will point to a promoted product's Marketplace shop page, since we cannot automatically know which other pages on your own site (or elsewhere) that product is being sold. To create these listings, you can go to your Seller Admin > "List products in your E-junkie shop and our Marketplace", select an existing product from the list, and then click the button to "Add/Edit listing in your E-junkie shop in our Marketplace".

e-junkie does have this data to where a product is being sold if the affiliate hop link is filled in on the Edit Affiliate Program Settings screen. Make this function more robust for promoting the products. Include affiliate, cross promote, and export for google base options.

what would be great is having the chosen cross-promotion links display when a product is added to cart!!!

Your system already collects what is necessary to do this with modification of the shopping cart page. When an item is selected the system would continue shopping on the selected product page.

Please make sure the data is passed for analytics tracking and the shopping cart doesn't show e-junkie shopping cart as the referring site.

I agree with this, it's a very valuable part of a business to have an 'upsell' with a discount for bundling products.

I am now fine tuning my business and need a service that is versatile like this. Also, i need to be able to setup a sequence of emails to my existing customers.

In-cart cross-promotion is on the development wishlist for now; meanwhile, you could try your hand at this approach:

Has there been any progress with the upsell and discounting for bundling products that you mentioned was on the 'wishlist'?

It's really important to me to be able to do this now that I'm adding more products to my range. I've had a look at the approach you mentioned in the link, Tyson, but I'm not able to edit HTML as my experience is very limited -- I just need a quick and easy way to be able to bundle and offer discounts as I'm missing out on sales if I don't.

Cheers.
