check click code discount discountcode edit format isn item listed next page priced product products saving submit wizard

I have a product and I got to edit ---> products and go through the wizard until i get to the discount code page. I put in the discount code in this format DISCOUNTCODE, 50.00 - then I click next and submit. If i go back and edit that same item, the discount code is not listed on the page. It isn't saving. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

That'll only happen if product is priced less than 50.00. Can you check that?
