I've searched the other questions in this category and I wasn't any the wiser unfortunately so sorry about this but can anyone help? I would like to set up a discount code for purchasing my product. I use paypal and I'm not sure if I should be doing something on that site as well as e-junkie. Anyone able to tell me in simple terms how I go about doing this please? thanks in advance # POSTED ON: October 1, 2008 @ 05:05 GMT -7 |

First, see our help page on Discounts here: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.discounts.htm More details and instructions are provided on the actual configuration screens in Admin where you define the discounts. Note that you can define a cart discount that applies to the order total or shipping charges in your Seller Admin > Edit Cart Discounts & Gift Certificates, and/or you can define product-specific discounts in each product's own config screens. Just reply here to let us know if you need further clarification or instructions for accomplishing some specific discount you want to offer. # POSTED ON: October 1, 2008 @ 12:57 GMT -7 |

Thanks for this. This is what I tried yesterday and I wasn't sure that it was correct because I didn't know how to test it out. I am trying to set up a discount for each sale but customers would only ever be buying one copy of the ebook so I have entered the discount amount and discount code and selected SUBMIT. Is that all I have to do or do I need to now make amendments at Paypal? How can I test it out to make sure the code works? Thanks # POSTED ON: October 2, 2008 @ 01:28 GMT -7 |

That sounds right to me... You can test out your discount codes by trying it out in your cart. You don't have to check out to see if it's applied to the total. You won't have to do anything with PayPal. FYI: If you're using CART discount codes, they only work with Add to Cart and View Cart buttons. # POSTED ON: October 2, 2008 @ 11:17 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: October 2, 2008 @ 14:08 GMT -7 |

I've created two cart discount codes and have tried to test them. I've not been able to see when and where, during the checkout process, the discount code can be entered. Can you help me out? # POSTED ON: October 10, 2010 @ 14:21 GMT -7 |

Discounts configured in Seller Admin can only be applied before checkout, not during. If you are using E-junkie Cart buttons, a Discount Code field is shown in the cart if the buyer adds any items to their cart that are eligible for a discount. If you need to use Buy Now buttons, those can only use certain kinds of discount and require a special version of the button code to let the buyer enter a discount code before they click the button: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/faq.discounts.buy-now.htm # POSTED ON: October 10, 2010 @ 18:34 GMT -7 |

If I've previously added the Add to and View Cart buttons on my site, and then later on create the discount codes, do I need to replace the button code in order for the Discount Field to show up? # POSTED ON: October 11, 2010 @ 04:38 GMT -7 |

No need to replace your cart buttons; the Discount Code field should appear in the cart automatically whenever there's a discount applicable to the buyer's cart or any items in it. I notice you're posting here from a different account than the one your site's button codes came from, so make sure you're setting up your products and discounts in the same account. :^) # POSTED ON: October 11, 2010 @ 13:49 GMT -7 |
