Redirecting to an upsell page...

I have just joined e-junkie and have set up a dummy test product and been through the process of buying it and it worked flawlessly, very impressed.
I was wondering if there is a way of automatically redirecting the buyer after the transaction is complete (using paypal) to another page on my website which features other products I have for sale.

So the process would be something like this...

I have a sales page with my main product, this contains the buy button, when that is clicked the pop up opens with the paypal checkout. Once that is complete the buyer would be redirected to another page on my website where I would list all my other products.

Any help would be much appreciated,

Thanks!

There are two ways you can accomplish that, but first be aware that not all payment processors can auto-redirect buyers after checkout; most only provide a return/finish/continue link on their completed-checkout page, which the buyer must voluntarily click to proceed to any thank-you or redirect page.

First, we have a built-in method to cross-promote your products; on the last screen of each product's configs in your Seller Admin, you can select other products to promote on our standard thank-you page after that product is purchased.

Second, you can specify a Redirect URL for each product, or a common thank-you page URL for all your purchases (the latter overrides the former), so when the customer decides to proceed past checkout, we would redirect them to your URL instead of displaying our standard thank-you page.

Thanks for the quick reply, I have been able to customize my download page now using the Message HTML. Is there a way I can move the 'Click here to download product' text link to the bottom of the page so it appears below my custom HTML?

Thanks again.

E-junkieGuru,

Do you have a 1-click upsell/downsell feature like 1shoppingcart?

Basically, I want to achieve this process:

Customer clicks 'buy' button on my website
customer goes to shopping cart and payment page and makes payment
Customer is then automatically re-directed to 'upsell' page
Customer clicks 'buy' button on that page
customer's order is processed using same credit card info as before -- eliminating need to enter credit card info again

It's the last step, obviously, that's key for me.

Thanks,
Blair

On the final screen of settings for any product, you can select other products to upsell on the thank-you page when that product is sold:
http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.cross-promo.htm

However, this would be treated as a separate purchase; since we do not control the checkout process (as that is handled by a third-party payment processor such as PayPal), we cannot simply add that item to the just-completed order.

Is it possible to send your customers through this process during the buying process:

1. They click the "Buy Now" button on, say an eBook

2. Instead of going to Payment processor, they are taken to an upsell page where they could "Also purchase" or "Add to the order" another product, say an audio version.

3. Maybe repeat step 2 for a second upsell.

4. Then be taken to pay for all 3 items (ebook and 2 upsells).

Thanks

Also, is there any way to automate the paying of affiliates through PayPal? Someone told me Clickbank allows for automation of payment to affiliates, was wondering if E-Junkie had a similar feature.

Thanks again

For your upsell process, you might consider using a combination of regular links from one page to the next (for the purchase button that actually leads to another upsell page), along with our multiAdd cart button code (for the purchase button that adds the original item and an upsell item to the cart together) which is explained here:
http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/4371/pg/0#post14358

E-junkie does have a built-in affiliate system, explained on this help page:
http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.affiliates.htm

Unlike ClickBank, which would "lock you in" to using ClickBank checkouts only and require using instant-checkout Buy Now buttons for single-item purchases (rather than a cart where buyers can add multiple items, add shipping/tax, etc.), E-junkie's affiliate system will work with any checkout method we support, using our Cart/multiAdd and/or Buy Now buttons.
