Tracking Affiliate Refunds

I know that processing a refund through PayPal automatically updates the sales logs for both my account and my affiliate's account for the current month, but what happens if I give a refund after the affiliate commission has been paid?

Does the refund become a negative credit on the affiliate's account to be deducted from future commissions?

Also, do chargebacks from Google Checkout and other payment gateways automatically update the sales and affiliate logs like they do with PayPal?

I appreciate any insights you can offer here,

Andrew

It will be reflected in the logs but not in the masspayment file you download to make the payment as that is month to month, so in this case you'll have to manually take care of this.

Google informs us of the chargebacks like PayPal, and so that updates the logs. The only other true payment processor we work with is Authorize.Net but they don't inform us about refunds or chargebacks :(
