Our company has decided to run a paid webinar using GotoWebinar. They don't have a payment option, so I was looking into using Google Checkout to collect payment. Basically, I'm looking to circumvent the very dated web store functionality that we currently use that doesn't even process the card immediately. I ran into a post from Robin K. in the GC merchant forum, which intrigued me. We aren't delivering a download, but I would very much like to pass along a URL and instructions for signing up at GoToWebinar once a customer pays. My IT team is bottlenecked, so I'm trying to get it done without them. Unfortunately, if I want a custom refresh or redirect page after the purchase I need to get into more significant XML programming to make GC work for this project. I dropped the sample HTML on our site and tested it in the sandbox and it worked great except for having to verify the product was shipped and the customer not receiving any information about where to go to sign up for the webinar. # POSTED ON: October 26, 2007 @ 18:29 GMT -7 |

You are quite a developer and I must say that you were on absolutely the right track, but of course it will need more work to achieve what you need if you do it yourself. Alternatively, you can use E-junkie for $5/month. E-junkie will mark the digital orders as shipped automatically, send an email to the buyer and show the thank you page link after the payment. You can customize the thank you page or use your own. You can also customize the "thank you email". The instructions are in "redirection" and "customization" sections at http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.php. # POSTED ON: October 26, 2007 @ 18:29 GMT -7 |
