i could not reach e-junkie for an hour (my store cart was also not functional) from approx 5:30-6:30 PST. fortunately i noticed and turned off my adwords but that is kind of disheartening on these great, necessary spending days.

I've had similar problems here from approximately 9:30-11:00 pm EST. A few sales have made it through for digital products, but I feel fairly confident the pages weren't loading for my customers. I had to provide a hosted solution for them. Just curious if there was an outage or something?

There was no outage, we are basically under a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack since nearly a week ago. We put in a new counter measure last night and that may have inadvertently blocked a few merchants along with blocking most of the attacker IPs.

We are working on solution which will let us differentiate between the attackers and the active merchants more clearly.

Since your buyers are not actively accessing pages on E-junkie website, they don't run a risk of getting blocked anyway.
