We have an emergency issue. We have spent much time and thousands of dollars preparing for a marketing campaign which is going ahead right now. We are offering a free downloads for a targeted mailing list however we have just hit over 80 free checkouts. Please increase this limit of 100 downloads IMMEDIATELY for at least 1 or 2 days (ideally a week). We run an e-commerce website and are running this campaign to capture e-mail addresses to further increase future sales. We were not aware of this limit and find it strange we were not warned of this earlier. Please reply as soon as possible otherwise we may need to take further action. thank you # POSTED ON: December 12, 2008 @ 15:24 GMT -7 |

We temporarily extended your free checkouts and responded via email on December 12th. We will be setting free checkouts back to default after a week. :) # POSTED ON: December 16, 2008 @ 16:15 GMT -7 |

I have already replied to your Support email, but will restate here for the record: E-junkie is a service for selling products online with payment transacted online; we are not intended nor offered as a service for providing free downloads en masse. To prevent customer abuse of the Free Checkout option and limit potential losses due to any inadvertent misconfiguration by the Seller, our system will only process up to 100 Free Checkouts per day for each Seller. Paid downloads which customers purchase from you are NOT affected by this limit at all. We can lift this restriction for a single day by request, but since ours is a shared service used in common by nearly 5000 Merchants, we have no method to lift or waive this restriction on an ongoing basis for just one Merchant. I am asking Development to lift the free-checkout limit for you today. Meanwhile, you can satisfy concerned customers by using your Seller Admin > Send Free Download Link to issue free download links manually. # POSTED ON: January 28, 2009 @ 12:57 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: January 28, 2009 @ 13:00 GMT -7 |

Same problem here. I had no idea there was such limit. Recently my site started providing free membership to monthly eZine and podcasts. Members are pouring in right now at a rate of about 10 per hour, and we're about to hit the maximum. Hope you guys get a chance to extend my limit of 100 free checkouts in time. What's a long-term solution to circumvent this problem next time? I want to send links and uploads to my members for free, and create a database where I can send direct emails out whenever a new product arrives. What would you do, and is e-junkie really a good place for me to be trying to run my business in this manner, which, by the way, is working out phenomenally well? # POSTED ON: October 6, 2009 @ 12:47 GMT -7 |

Ahhh, I can breathe again. Thanks a lot guys. Keep me posted on whatever advice you have to deal with this in the future. I'd like to be well-equipped for far more than 100 free subscriptions to my membership someday. # POSTED ON: October 6, 2009 @ 13:59 GMT -7 |

We'll be adding a different "Free Checkouts per day" capacity for each subscription plan level, so if your plan does not already accommodate the number of checkouts you'd need, you can simply upgrade to a level that does, which would take effect almost immediately, and then if you wish downgrade again if you won't need that higher limit on an ongoing basis. # POSTED ON: October 6, 2009 @ 17:31 GMT -7 |

flux We run an e-commerce website and are running this campaign to capture e-mail addresses to further increase future sales. If you are offering the download with the default thank-you page, chances are high that your customers will provide you with lots of bogus email addresses. Sadly, there is no way to verify your customers are doing the FREE checkout with a correct email unless you divert them to a page that tells them to check the email for download links. # POSTED ON: October 7, 2009 @ 13:21 GMT -7 |

Ah, quite correct, and the only way to do that would be using a Common Thank-you Page URL (set in Seller Admin > Account Preferences), which would affect your paid downloads as well. # POSTED ON: October 7, 2009 @ 14:33 GMT -7 |
