PayPal Micropayments are an optional setting, where you can specify that order totals under $12 should go to a different PayPal account where PayPal charges a different fee structure that's better for accepting many small payments instead of larger but fewer payment amounts:

You can (and most Sellers do) accept PayPal payments without setting up Micropayments. If you go into Seller Admin > Edit Profile and enter your PayPal Email, that's all you really need to accept payments by PayPal for your E-junkie products.

I currently use paypal pro. I signed up for an additional micropayment account since I have a lot of orders under $12. Having both configured at the same times seems to cause an error on the credit card payment page.

Hm, I think Micropayments would only work for regular PayPal account-based payments (aka PayPal Express Checkout for PayPal Pro merchants), not for direct card-based payments.

I'll bring this to the attention of Development staff and see they can do something to ensure that order totals under $12 are directed to the Micropayments PayPal email only if the buyer selects a PayPal checkout but not if they choose to pay with a card.
