Sending email to customers that haven't purchased in 6 months

I'd like to offer a discount to entice past customers to buy.

Is there a way to do that using the "update" email feature? I'd like to offer it to people that haven't made a purchase in the last 6 months...

Hm, well our Updates and Newsletters feature can only send messages to ALL previous buyers of a given product; there's no way to sort by last-purchase date.

You could go into your Seller Admin > View/Download Transaction Log, set the date range to show only transactions from 6 months ago and older, maybe select sales of only a specific product if you wish, then View Log and Download Log to save that to your computer. Once you unzip the downloaded file, you can open it in a spreadsheet program like Excel or (free) Gnumeric to, say, select and copy the column of email addresses to paste into a text file.

Then you could submit those addresses to a third-party email-marketing specialist service like Aweber to send an email blast to all those addresses containing a Cart Discount or Item Discount code you'd created that you're revealing only to them.

Ok...I already use Aweber. Are you suggesting there's a way to integrate it with e-junkie?

Or is it just manually importing mails to a list I'd create in Aweber. (Rather than having sales automatically populate an Aweber account.)

There is a way to integrate E-junkie with Aweber such that new buyers would be auto-subscribed to your Aweber list:

However, this would not be relevant to your need to send a promotional email to previous buyers; in that case, you would need to obtain the addresses as I described and import that list to Aweber at their end.
