I'm new to this, so forgive me if it's a daft question! If a customer receives a 'Thank You' page with a download link so that they can download one of my lovely books, (!) (presumably they get one whenever their payment's gone through) and then receives an email with a download link too, do they really need the email? And if not, is there any way I can stop it from being sent. # POSTED ON: February 16, 2009 @ 09:19 GMT -7 |

You may find this recent forum discussion helpful: http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/3105 Note that a customer may not automatically arrive at the thank-you page after finishing checkout, depending on whether the payment processor used can auto-redirect them or not, and whether the actual payment process is completed by the time they finish checkout or not. The thank-you email gives them a link to reach their thank-you/download page if they did not proceed directly to that page after checkout, or if some glitch with their initial download attempt resulted in a garbled file. # POSTED ON: February 16, 2009 @ 13:57 GMT -7 |

Aaah. That makes it much clearer now, thank you Tyson. Now I can adjust my email to suit. # POSTED ON: February 17, 2009 @ 01:19 GMT -7 |
