I'm new here, and so far everything has worked beautifully and smoothly as I've set things up. What an unusual experience! But I have run into a glitch now. My book is $14.95. It weighs 11 oz (with the mailing envelope). I entered that in the product description. In the shopping cart settings, I added $2.50 for handling, and I left the envelope definitions at 0. According to the UPSP website, first class postage for up to 11 oz is $2.53. All this should add up to $19.98, but when I try a test buy, Paypal says it's $20.32. Where did the extra .34 come from? Thanks for the help! Selena # POSTED ON: March 23, 2009 @ 14:54 GMT -7 |

Any packaging container type(s) you configure in Seller Admin only determines how our own shipping calculator adds the weight or cost of those containers to the order; they do not set a package type when doing the USPS rate lookup. Our USPS rate lookups always obtain the USPS Package rate for the weight and destination of the order, which would be $2.87 for an 11 oz. package going by First Class mail (we obtain First Class and Priority package rates and apply whichever rate is cheaper). # POSTED ON: March 23, 2009 @ 15:19 GMT -7 |

Wow! Thanks for the quick response. Just another confirmation that you guys are great! That explains the .34 difference. The USPS website says that it's 2.53 for 11 oz. OK, thanks so much. Selena # POSTED ON: March 23, 2009 @ 15:19 GMT -7 |
