Wordpress cart opening in new window

Hi,

Just finished making my way from 1shoppingcart to Junkie. So far so good.

One thing I ran into is that the add to cart buttons open in a new window, regardless of whether I uncheck that Myspace button or not. I originally started with it checked, as I assume Wordpress 2.7.1 would support JS. That launched in new window, so I tried unchecked and I get the same issue.

Am I missing something? Any ideas?

You're probably just missing the View Cart code in your age.

In order to get the nice JS-based cart overlay, every page which has any Add to Cart buttons must also have at least one block of our View Cart button code, as that calls upon all the scripting that makes the overlay work. :^)

That did it Tyson.

Last question - I added all the ADD TO CART buttons with the MySpace button unchecked as I thought it was the issue. Does it really matter if I leave it like that? I am on Wordpress.

Thanks again.

UNchecking that box on the Get Button Codes screen converts all the codes provided there to a non-JavaScript version, suitable for use on sites that don't permit pasting any JavaScript code (such as Myspace, craigslist, etc.); however, those non-JavaScript codes open the cart in a new popup window/tab rather than using the nice cart overlay that appears "inside" your own pages.

If you want to use the nice cart overlay, you will need to leave that box CHECKED when you copy-paste the button codes into your site.

This forum discussion gives some helpful tips about using E-junkie codes on a Wordpress site:
