Hello, When I setup a buy now button through e-junkie, the buyer is directed to setup a paypal account. But when I setup a buy now button within paypal, the buyer is NOT required to setup a paypal account. I have the following default setting in Paypal: "PayPal Account Optional: On" ...so a paypal account is not required to complete purchase. How do I fix this with e-junkie? # POSTED ON: March 25, 2009 @ 00:31 GMT -7 |

If PayPal's site detects a cookie in the buyer's browser from a previous PayPal account login, then they will assume the buyer either already has a PayPal account or is using a shared/public computer, so they will not offer the direct card-checkout option in that case. Since you already have a PayPal account and have logged into it on your computer, when you take a test cart to checkout, you would not see the no-account direct card payment option offered. You can clear your browser cookies and try taking a test cart to checkout again, then you should see what the no-account direct card payment option looks like. :^) # POSTED ON: March 25, 2009 @ 14:17 GMT -7 |

Hello, thanks for the reply. Well I just tested it again on a my fiance's new Dell laptop that just came in today and it still only says "Create an account or login" Any ideas? # POSTED ON: April 2, 2009 @ 22:53 GMT -7 |

Ok...i figured it out. Since I was testing the system, I was using an email address that wasnt activated in Paypal. Once I activated it, it worked! Which makes sense, because how else will the check out know what setting I have chosen unless it is using an active paypal email!! DUH!! Thanks # POSTED ON: April 2, 2009 @ 23:46 GMT -7 |
