Hi everyone, I've been working on a site that initially used the external paypal cart. I decided to use fatfreecart so the users could stay in the site until they're ready to checkout with paypal. The problem I have encountered is the lack or region specific tax rates and shipping&handling based on # of units in the cart. At first, I thought the settings within paypal would apply taxes and shipping when the user was redirected to the paypal checkout page from the fatfreecart cart but this isn't the case. If I use the regular created paypal buttons to redirect the user, the settings for taxes/shipping within paypal show up fine. Is it possible for fatfreecart to just let paypal handle shipping & taxes? # POSTED ON: March 31, 2009 @ 16:45 GMT -7 |

We cannot provide any support whatsoever for the FatFreeCart.com cart -- that's one of the reasons it's free. :^) If you can figure out some way to let PayPal calculate shipping without using PayPal's cart, that would be entirely up to you to set up and troubleshoot. However, the E-junkie cart (aka "FatFreeCart Pro") has much more flexible built-in Shipping calculation, including actual USPS postal-rate lookups and other, creative approaches like those described here: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.shipping.htm # POSTED ON: March 31, 2009 @ 19:24 GMT -7 |
