Hello All- I've surfed the threads pretty thoroughly and can't find this particular solution. There are a few similar, but not quite what I need. I offer a tangible widget for $20. I have three other widgets, A, B, and C. Also for $20. I would like to offer the buyer a half-off discount on A, B, and/or C, if they add it to the cart. Or, if they add two in any combo, the get half off each. So they add main widget to the cart for $20.00. Then they add A & C to the cart, and I want each of these to be $10.00. I could create new items for A, B and C and price each half-off, right? BUT...they buyer could simply add these to the cart, without buying the main widget. Is there a way to discount items and require a cart minimum, or can you 'block' items that can only be added to the cart when a certain item is already in there? # POSTED ON: April 9, 2009 @ 09:48 GMT -7 |

We currently have no means to support quite the type of discount you describe. You can configure specific products with an Item Discount that takes a flat amount off the unit price of just that product, but there's no provision to make that contingent on any minimum quantity or the presence of other products. You can configure Cart Discounts that take a flat amount or percentage off the order total, and these can require a minimum total quantity in the buyer's cart or a minimum order total, but there's no provision to limit this to certain items. I think the closest to what you describe that we can suggest is to make a Cart Discount that takes 25% off the order total when Min. Items in Cart is 2. # POSTED ON: April 9, 2009 @ 13:41 GMT -7 |
