I have been having a certain buyer purchasing items and then requesting a refund. it is the same buyer but they use a different paypal so blocking them by email does not help. How can I access their ip address to put a block on it as well? Thanks # POSTED ON: June 9, 2009 @ 04:28 GMT -7 |

You can look in your Seller Admin > View/Download Transaction Log to find the IP used for any transaction, but you will likely discover they were using a different IP for every checkout, since most computers get assigned a fresh IP from their ISP's common pool every time they establish a connection to the Internet, and most fraudulent buyers are careful about covering their tracks this way, or by using various public wifi hotspots. For these reasons, and the high likelihood that blocking by IP will not effectively block a skilled fraudster but may instead wind up blocking legitimate buyers who happen to get assigned the same IP later from that same ISP's pool or happen to use the same public hotspot, we do not support blocking transactions by IP. # POSTED ON: June 9, 2009 @ 14:08 GMT -7 |

Buyer IP should be under the Billing Info column, just to the right of the Payer Email column in your E-junkie Transaction Log. # POSTED ON: June 10, 2009 @ 12:44 GMT -7 |

Hm, if the Buyer IP does not appear in your E-junkie Transaction Log for a purchase, then that means the payment processor did not provide an IP in the order data when they notified us of the completed payment. We can only include the buyer's IP in the order data when the order originates with our cart or Buy Now buttons; however, if the order originates outside our system, such as an eBay auction item, then we cannot capture the buyer's IP in the first place. You may want to see what fraud protections eBay can offer to help you out here. # POSTED ON: June 10, 2009 @ 16:59 GMT -7 |

Sorry, we don't keep any records showing which E-junkie Sellers, Products or Affiliate programs are most successful, and that could be considered proprietary information for each individual merchant anyway, as E-junkie just a software service they use to conduct their own, private business however they see fit. # POSTED ON: June 11, 2009 @ 17:40 GMT -7 |
