I probably inadvisedly joined a program last week. Their website has a link to e-junkie, to see my sales stats. I click on the link, arrive at the affiliate admin area, click on the link to get my affiliate code, and nothing happens. The drop down menu to search for merchants doesn't work, nor does the button that says, "get affiliate code".
I've completed the sign up process for e-junkie. I sent an email to the e-junkie support system. I've had no response.
Of course, the vendor is unresponsive and unavailable. I've sent them an email and left 2 phone messages on their (supposedly working) phone number.
Because I'm not thrilled with the program or the "support" I've received, I'm not real hopeful about any actual sales having taken place. Still, if any are there, I'd like to see them.
The company I joined is PhoneAppsBiz.com. IF they are reputable, they need to start acting like it. If e-junkie is reputable (you seem to be), then you need to answer my emails. (I've checked the spam folders, too. No response!)
Hm, we don't have any record of receiving any email from addresses listed in your E-junkie account profile; did you receive a Ticket ID in response to your emails? Our official public-contact emails are listed on our contact page, where you can also just fill out a form to send us a message: https://www.e-junkie.com/ej/contact.php
If you joined E-junkie to participate in another seller's affiliate program -- where you resell their products or refer sales to their site to earn commissions -- it is that seller's responsibility to provide support to their own affiliates. E-junkie is just a software service that merchants (sellers) use to manage their own Affiliate program independently, so we can't really advise you on what instructions they may want you to follow or how they choose to administer their program using our software.
E-junkie's affiliate system is FREE for affiliates to use at NO CHARGE. If you have paid any "upfront money" to participate in any affiliate program being managed through our system, we forbid that kind of scheme on our system and will suspend any merchant accounts in our system who are discovered to be conducting such activity.
Amazingly, we have even heard of some ex-merchants of ours, even long after they cancel or we suspend their account with us, apparently still taking people's upfront money and issuing their old sign-up links for our system which won't work for them anymore, then claiming the problem is at our end -- that "problem" being, of course, that their account is deactivated because either they canceled their service or we cut them off for violating our policies.
If you have already paid any fees for any affiliate program, we would strongly recommend that you attempt to get the charges reversed through your credit card issuer or by filing a complaint with the online payment service (e.g., PayPal or 2CheckOut, etc.) which handled your checkout for that fee.
I have NOT had to pay any upfront fees for your service. I just clicked on a link provided by the seller, that was supposed to show me my sales records, and ended up at the e-junkie website.
I sent my email on the 4th, as below:
@ Affiliate Codes and other concerns‏
From: me-at my email
Sent: Sat 7/04/09 10:42 AM
To: support@e-junkie.com
It was my typically long letter, and the one I posted above is probably the gist of it.
IF my vendor directed me correctly to your site, then somewhere on your site I'm supposed to be seeing my sales records. IFFFFFF!!!!!
Late this afternoon I got a text message from the people I assume are the vendors. I was about to be in heavy traffic, but before I got on the road, I voice mailed & texted back to the person. Their txt to me indicated an email should also be waiting for me, but I can't find it--even in the spam.
I guess I'll see what happens tomorrow. But, if e-junkie DOES provide sales records for the various affiliates, I need to find out how to see mine. IF your company is doing the record keeping for PhoneAppsBiz.
I'm relieved that the vendor made the attempt to contact me this afternoon---but I wrote a VERY angry letter to them AND to the (BIG NAME) JV that sent me the promotion in the first place! Maybe my "squeeky wheel" is getting some attention!
Although it is the merchant's responsibility to provide all support and assistance their own affiliates may require, our general help page for affiliates explains the basic functions of your E-junkie Affiliate Admin: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.for-affiliates.htm
I'm answering below each #'d item. I don't know how to format the text to make it different than the original text (I don't see bold or color options for formatting.)
From your link:
How to join a Merchant's Affiliate Program:
1. Click the Merchant's sign-up link;
I either can't find it or it doesn't exist. I signed up via a separate sales page.
2. If you are not already logged into E-junkie, this will take you to E-junkie's login/registration page where you can:
* Log into your existing E-junkie account
OR
* Register for a new account if you don't have one
I registered last week when I first wanted to see my "sales". Probably on the 4th.
3. You will arrive at Affiliate Admin;
I did.
4. Click Get Affiliate Code;
I've tried, several times, but nothing happens.
5. The Select Merchant menu lists the Affiliate programs you have joined*;
Again, Nothing happens when I click on the drop down menu.
6. Select from the menu which Merchant's link codes you want to get;
Not visible, so I can't select them
7. Click Get Affiliate Code, then:
* If the Merchant has common Affiliate settings for all their products, copy their Common Hop Link code to paste into your own Web page;
* If the Merchant has product-specific Affiliate settings, then you can select a product and click Get Affiliate Code to obtain product-specific link code.
8. You can click the More Info button if the Merchant has provided a page with special instructions, link/banner images, etc.;
I don't know if these options exist with them
9. You can click the Contact Merchant button to send them a message;
NO merchants are listed, so I can't contact them!
*Note: if you did not find your Merchant listed in your Affiliate Admin > Get Affiliate Codes screen, you may need to click the Merchant's sign-up link again.
All I have from the Merchant, so far, is the link from them, to you, to see sales records. Which, I can't see!
It's possible, all will be explained if/when I talk to the merchant tomorrow. Perhaps if I'd come to your website via some other source, I wouldn't be having the technical problems I'm having, but at the moment, I can't get the Get Affiliate Code link to work, or the drop down Merchant link to work, or anything else, as above.
Like I said, there's a BIG hole in the bucket, Dear Liza, a BIG HOLE!!!!!
The critical matter (or "hole" :^) is that you would have needed to click the merchant's sign-up link at some point to join any affiliate program they are managing through our system.
Unless and until you find and click the merchant's sign-up link, you are not joined to their program and thus will not find them listed in the Select Merchant menu in your Affiliate Admin, so you cannot use that to get their link code nor use the Contact Merchant function to send them a message.
E-junkie is just a fully-automated software service that merchants (sellers) use to manage their own Affiliate program independently. We aren't personally familiar with most of the 6000+ different sellers who happen to our our software to manage their orders and affiliate programs independently. We have no way of knowing where or how their sign-up link may have been posted or provided to you. You will need to contact the seller directly for any assistance you may require with their affiliate program.
Hello! I didn't see where to start a new post. I have read all the help and forums on this issue. I can see that there are several posts on this problem of not seeing the merchant name when the affiliate gets to the screen to Get Affiliate Code. We are having that problem also.
The would-be affiliates tell me that they register or login, get to the Affiliate Admin screen, and then nothing shows for Get Aff. Code. Your response is always to click the Affiliate link again. I have stepped them through that, but to no success. We have tried logging off and back in, clicking link again.
Do we have a bad link? What about the cookies? There is either something funky with how this works in practice, or I am totally not getting it.
I was able to get two affiliates signed up, but not sure exactly what we all did to make that happen! One was already a member of e-junkie and one was not...
Hm, that sign-up link you provided appears to work fine for me, so that's not the problem.
I'd say whenever this happens, ask them to sign into their E-junkie account first and stay logged in, and then they can click your sign-up link. That should take them directly to their Affiliate Admin, where they should be able to Get Affiliate Codes and find you in the Select Merchant menu there. If that doesn't seem to work, have them delete their browser cookies and try again (i.e., login first, and then click your sign-up link).
If it still doesn't work, the only reason I can think of would be if you'd already deleted them from your affiliate program, which effectively bans them from rejoining, at least with that login account.
BTW, to start a new discussion topic here in the forum, just go to the very bottom of the topic listing page, where you'll find a place to type a new subject and message. :^)
