Hi I want to set up a store that sells software developed by others as well as my own. I want them to be able to submit their software to be listed and available on my store. I want to pay them or pay myself - depending on how you look at it - a percentage of the sales price per sale. So for example, I would pay 50% of the sales price to each software developer. So if Developer A sells 100 units at $10 in a month, I would pay out $500 in commission and retain the other $500. Is this possible with Ejunkie and the Affiliate system or not? Many many thanks. # POSTED ON: July 10, 2009 @ 11:38 GMT -7 |

It is possible but you will want to have each button be a buy now for the specific affiliate. This would not allow buyers to purchase more then one piece of software at a time. # POSTED ON: July 12, 2009 @ 13:18 GMT -7 |

OK. So that will not work because people buy three or four items at a time. Would I be able to associate products with an affiliate in the back end and then calcualte how many each one has sold at the end of a month and send them their commission? Many thanks. # POSTED ON: July 12, 2009 @ 18:45 GMT -7 |

What you describe has been a fairly popular request, so we're strongly considering eventually adding something along those lines as a new feature. From what we've discussed, you would be able to define for each product some affiliate, or just a PayPal email, that would earn a flat amount on each unit sold of that product, separately from and regardless of any other affiliate commissions. Those earnings along with affiliate commission earnings would be included together in the masspay.txt file you obtain monthly to pay your affiliates via PayPal Mass Payments. Formal announcement of any new features going live would be posted to our Service Status and Updates forum here: http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/forum/6 ...and if you're into RSS, we have a feed of updates to that forum available for your RSS reader here: http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/xml/rss-forum-6.xml Meanwhile, you can go to Seller Admin > View/Download Transaction Log, select a date range and specific product, then View Log to view just those sales. You can also Download Log from any log view to save that sale data as a spreadsheet file for additional calculation/manipulation on your own computer, if you wish. # POSTED ON: July 13, 2009 @ 17:33 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: July 13, 2009 @ 17:57 GMT -7 |

This is an awesome new feature that will be a huge resource for people who create products with partners. I am currently in the process of developing a product that will need just this sort of profit sharing split and it looks like I won't need to find an alternate shopping cart solution. Many thanks, Andrew Seltz The Go-To Guy! # POSTED ON: July 14, 2009 @ 07:57 GMT -7 |

Many thanks indeed for all your help. I think this is the solution for me. And I will work with what there is while looking forward to the new features. Again, many thanks. # POSTED ON: July 15, 2009 @ 11:01 GMT -7 |
