I setup a single download, tested it by purchasing it, didnot get a link to download the file...

If you are using PayPal then your PayPal account may still be set to require manual approval for all payments. When you manually accept a payment in PayPal, you should see the option to automatically accept all future payments, so PayPal can complete payments without delay and notify our system to process those sales promptly.
