I'm looking to use google website optimizer to track sales conversions. Here is the issue: I have multiple products that I sell on multiple domain names. To be able to use the conversion tracking, I want to send one product to a thank you page on one domain name (eg product 1 -> domain1.com/thankyou) and a different product to a thank you page on that domain name (eg Product 2 ->domain2.com/thankyou). This is the only way I can come up with to track conversions with google website optimizer. I don't want to be sending traffic that purchased through domain1 to domain2's thank you... But it seems that I have to override all thankyous to be redirected to either domain1 or domain2. (Unless I am missing something. The product specific redirect doesn't seem to allow you to to let them download the product first, right?) Is the only way to set this up to purchase another ejunkie account?? # POSTED ON: August 3, 2009 @ 08:20 GMT -7 |

LizzardIs the only way to set this up to purchase another ejunkie account?? For what you described, yes. There may be some way to use GWO where the thank-you page is the same, but the tracking code can determine which page the buyer "came from" when they actually placed their order before checkout. You may also wish to consider the information presented here: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/faq.tracking-how-why.htm # POSTED ON: August 9, 2009 @ 15:52 GMT -7 |
