Is it possible for a single product/purchase to allow the customer to immediatley download the e-book and the order information goes to Swift CD for the audio CD? Or do these have to be completely separate transactions?

You can certainly configure a single product like that. Just enable Single File Download for the download aspect, and also enable "Send transaction data to a URL" so you can setup the SwiftCD integration:

How do I do this when I am using the DRM?

We're not sure what you mean? We don't have any DRM, and any DRM built into your files should remain intact regardless of whether the buyer downloads the file or receives it on a physical disc.
