anybody blank clarification common customer email enabled entered knows order post preferences product subject template text thank-you-email tick

Hi.

Would like to just get clarification if anybody knows the answer.

In order to have the same email go out to every customer for every product, rather than having to enter the text in each product, if I leave it completely blank, enter the text in preferences section in common thank you email and tick the box email template enabled within the product, will the customer get the email I entered in common email? Is there anything else to do?
