A little confused with the new variant options available for the thank you email

[%on0%] (Option 1 Name using Variations)
[%on1%] (Option 2 Name using Variations)
[%on2%] (Option 3 Name using Variations)
[%os0%] (Option 1 Value using Variations)
[%os1%] (Option 2 Value using Variations)
[%os2%] (Option 3 Value using Variations)
[%o1_title%] (Option 1 Name using Variants)
[%o2_title%] (Option 2 Name using Variants)
[%o3_title%] (Option 3 Name using Variants)
[%o1%] (Option 1 Value using Variants)
[%o2%] (Option 2 Value using Variants)
[%o3%] (Option 3 Value using Variants)

which one do I use to show my value ie if my item is expresso in color, I want to show the name of the item [%item_name%] + the actual color

Thanks

Denis

E.g. if you're using "Variations which tell more" and your Option 1 menu is for the color, then you'd use this to show the item name and color selected:

[%item_name%] [%os0%]

If you're using "Variants having individual price/weight/stock/sku", then you'd use this instead:

[%item_name%] [%o1%]

Using this fine - but in the email header I get

code is:

Bunk Bed King - Thank You for your Purchase of [%item_name%] [%o1%]

output is:

Thank You for your Purchase of Bookcase Bunk Bed FREE SHIPPING [%o1%]

in the body of the email the correct info is displaye:

code is:

Thank you for your purchase of [%quantity%] x [%item_name%] [%o1%] for delivery to:

output is:

Thank you for your purchase of 1 x Bookcase Bunk Bed FREE SHIPPING Bookcase Bunk Bed Expresso $388 for delivery to:

what am I doing wrong?

Regards

Denis

The reason for this is that [%item_name%] takes just that from E-junkie. If you go to Seller Admin>View/Edit/Delete Products you will see in the drop down list of products many of your products name includes the phrase, 'FREE SHIPPING.' You would have to remove that from the name of the products for it not to show up in the e-mail.

sorry, you missed the question

body of email is fine - header is not

header code is

Bunk Bed King - Thank You for your Purchase of [%item_name%] [%o1%]

output is:

Thank You for your Purchase of Bookcase Bunk Bed FREE SHIPPING [%o1%]

so [%o1%] is not bring populated

Sorry for the delay in responding to your forum post. I have a couple of questions, first, is there a space between [%item_name%] and [%o1%]? Second, can you send us the transaction ID for one a transaction that you have seen this problem in?

Bunk Bed King - Thank You for your Purchase of [%item_name%] , [%o1%]

so a space then a comma then a space

Every purchase has the problem - but try the latest sale 3H082038T1093322W

thanks

Denis

By "header", do you mean the thank-you email's Subject: line? The [%item_name%] variable is the only one that works in the Subject line.

So you can only use the one variable [%item_name%] - on the subject line

Why?

because when you have multiple colors and styles, this is not always sufficent info to provide to the buyer

Simply because we have never written the extra programming into our system to support other variables in that field, and it's never been requested before. You can of course provide additional product info using other variables in the Email Message body, just not in the Subject line. I'm not aware of any plans to support additional variables in the Subject line, but we can add it to Development's Wishlist as a request for future consideration.
