Hi all - I'm curious - If a particular customer is on the same marketing list for multiple affiliates selling the same product and clicks an affiliate link from each - who gets credit? For example: Affiliate A is selling Product X Affiliate B is also selling Product X. Customer John Smith gets the affiliate link from both of the sellers above, but he clicks Affiliate A's link first...does A get credit? Or does B get credit? If a train leaves a station going west at 90 miles per hour and another train...no wait..wrong forum. ha ha. - Ryan Nagy # POSTED ON: January 9, 2010 @ 10:55 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: January 9, 2010 @ 10:57 GMT -7 |

The last affiliate hop link clicked before the sale would determine who gets the referral credit and commission. I.e., a buyer's browser can have only one cookie set for your affiliate program at a time, and clicking a hop link always sets a cookie, so that would clobber any older referral cookie for your affiliate program in that buyer's browser. # POSTED ON: January 10, 2010 @ 19:56 GMT -7 |
