I'm selling multiple items and would like to restrict the quantity that can be ordered at once to 4 (for ALL items). I've placed a flat shipping fee for orders world wide, but for much larger orders (quantity wise) would prefer to re-negotiate on the fee (I'd tell them to contact me via email for larger orders). The problem is that I do not know how to stop customers from making larger orders without contacting me first (and agreeing on a different shipping fee). I'd be grateful if someone could assist me. # POSTED ON: January 10, 2010 @ 13:17 GMT -7 |

Aside from disabling "Let buyer edit quantity" in each product's settings (so buyers could only ever order one of each item at a time), we really don't have a way to limit whole-cart quantity to some total maximum, although we could suggest a way to offer limited quantities for each item, if that could work for you. About all we could suggest for your fee quotes on large-order shipping would be to configure free shipping for orders above a certain total amount or quantity, though you'd want to be clear to buyers that you will charge them separately for shipping and allow them to cancel the order for a full refund if they don't accept the shipping rate you quote. # POSTED ON: January 10, 2010 @ 19:38 GMT -7 |
