Shipping is lower when a customer buys them separately

When i place one item, a 100 pack of LP sleeves in the cart and add another item, a Bin- e, it gives me a higher shipping cost than if i buy then sepparetly...it is $1.45 MORE to buy them together. It gets really bad with a larger priced item,a lp bin and a Bin- e...it costs 7.50 MORE to buy them together.

The zipcode used is 08831

i think i see the problem.... it thinks i'm putting all the items purchased in ONE box?

the question is then how do i make it calculate shipping for EACH item and then add it together.

I never combine my items into one box...they are packaged to be shipped separately.

We've figured out what is causing this behavior and are working on a fix; meanwhile, we can offer a workaround to bypass the problem. Just set each product to use the same Packaging Type (e.g., set them all to use a Regular Box), but set their Packaging Capacity to some absurdly high quantity like 9999. This will calculate shipping for all orders as if they were being shipped in a single parcel together (which has no bearing on how you choose to actually pack and ship the order), which will lead USPS.com to return the correct rate when we query them.

We will have to wait for the fix.

I just tried doing this and it makes the shipping go down but too far... -$14.

I'm not sure what the cap is on calculating shipping with USPS, but i got a error when i increased the quantity to 2. (package quantity set to 9999) That would be 1700 ounces.

The one item is 850 Ounces
the second item is 200 Ounces

Still the BEST cart EVER created!!!! with a small (fixable) glitch.

will this be fixed soon? It's awkward to tell our customers to buy items separately or they get charged more. Or having to issue a refund that Paypal charges us to do.

We'll need to ask Development to respond to this, as Support has not been informed of any ETA on a fix for this.
