Gathering additional information from buyer

I am setting up shop where the items will be picked up only (no shipping) and need them to be able to indicate a specific pick up location from three, pre-determined options. I was assuming this should be done in the cart/checkout process -- can you let me know how to do that?

Thanks.

Go to Seller Admin > Cart Shipping Settings:
- Shipping Origin: select your country and zipcode (if you're outside the US, just enter any 5-digit number);
- Shipping Destinations: select your country;
- Leave all other settings blank or 0.00;
- Click Next to save settings and proceed to the Shipping Rules screen.

Shipping Rules screen:
- Select and Delete any Existing Shipping Rules listed in the menu there;
- Create a new Shipping Rule:
-- Shipping Calculation Method: Flat;
-- Flat Shipping Amount: 0.00;
-- Shipping Method Description: name of pickup location;
-- Click Submit to save the Rule;
-- Repeat these steps to create a Rule for your other locations.
- Click Back to Admin.

Be sure to enable Shipping/Buyer's Address in the settings of each product.

Thank you...that all made sense and I did follow your instructions. Unfortunately, I still can't see where the customer would select the pick up location. In the cart that pops up, there's an option to select country and zip code, but that's it. Am I missing something?

Thanks again.......

After the buyer selects their location in the cart, they should see the selection of Pickup locations to choose from. If that doesn't seem to be working, please reply with the URL of a live page we can test to see what might be going on there.

Here's a product page:

Would it make any difference that we're applying a $4 handling fee to each order (which is working fine)?

Thank you!

Go into Seller Admin > Cart Shipping Settings and make sure you select Shipping Origin: United States, then click Next to save changes, then you can click Back to Admin and test your cart again to see if that fixed things.

If that doesn't fix it, then I would suggest removing the Handling charge, then delete the three Rules and set them up again with a Flat rate amount of 4.00. Handling doesn't show up as a separate amount in the cart; it just gets added to the overall Shipping total, so this would work out the same as having Handling = 4.00 with Flat rates = 0.00.
