I'm launching a new site (selling WordPress Themes) and I'm new to E-Junkie and Affiliate promotion...

FIRST QUESTION: What is the best way to attract affiliates for my products?

SECOND QUESTION: Specifically in E-Junkie, how should I set it up so that I'm giving affiliates as many options as possible - hop links? direct links? Individual product links?

Typically, you would post your affiliate sign-up link to your own Web site, so buyers who are impressed with your product could become affiliates to help you promote it. You can also add a listing for your products to the E-junkie Marketplace, which would allow existing affiliates using E-junkie's system to find you by searching through affiliate programs in the Marketplace. If you want to make things as simple, easy and flexible as possible for your affiliates, you could just set up a common affiliate program in Seller Admin > Affiliate Program Settings. This would grant the same commission percentage for all your products across-the-board, and each affiliate would have just one, easy Common Hop Link to obtain, so there'd be no confusion or indecision as to "which link" they should use, what the differences are, etc.

If you want to give your affiliates a lot of options and different ways they could go about things, then you could also/instead setup product-specific Hop Links and/or Direct Links, but too many choices could confuse affiliates who have limited technical skills even if they're outstanding at sales and marketing. You are expected to provide all tech support your affiliates may require, so the more types of link you offer, the more time you may need to spend explaining the differences to your affiliates. We generally recommend sticking with just the Common Hop Link unless you have a particular need for product-specific links.

Are affiliates only able to search and find me through E-Junkie if I DON'T post my products in my "E-Junkie Shop"?

Meaning, if I only have my products posted on my own website, affiliates can only find my affiliate program by finding my website (outside of E-Junkie). Is that correct?

I'd like to tap into as many channels of exposure as possible.

If you don't post product listings to your E-junkie Marketplace Shop, then your affiliate program will NOT be discoverable by searching/browsing affiliate programs in Marketplace.

In that case, affiliates would only be able to find and join your affiliate program via whatever direct recruitment methods you use, such as posting your sign-up link to your own Web site.
